Unified Technologies was formed as a result of 27 Industry veterans coming together with the sole purpose of providing the highest level of service available in the market. Combined, this team comprises over 400 years of industry experience and is 100% focused on putting the customer first in everything we do.
Leadership Team
The leadership team at Unified Technologies represents a total of 125 Years of experience.
Mike Fischer - CEO
Mike has served Kentucky with 30 years experience in the telecommunications industry. After his start in the industry as a salesman in 1979, he later acquired Cedco and built it into a successful powerhouse in the market. With his new partner, Scott Diamond, he later acquired and successfully developed U S Voice and Data in the same industry until being acquired as part of a national growth strategy. In an effort to provide the level of support his customers had been accustomed to throughout the years, and to give his team an opportunity to share in the success, Mike in part started Unified Technologies. Now as CEO of Unified Technologies, Mike is giving back in the form of an employee owned company with largely the same team that he has been with all along. Mike says, "After all these years, this business is fun again! We are getting back to the basics of serving our customers the way they deserve to be serviced." Mike received a BA and MA in Clinical Psychology from Western Kentucky University. He received an MBA from the University of Louisville.
Scott Diamond - President/COO
Scott Diamond is the COO of Unified Technologies, providing over 20 years of local experience and expertise in telecommunication equipment sales and marketing. After graduating from Georgetown College in 1988, Scott began his career as a sales representative for CEDCO, Inc., quickly earning the distinction of top sales producer for 13 years. In 2002, Scott teamed with Mike Fischer in the purchase of U.S. Voice & Data. Under Mike and Scott's leadership, U.S. Voice & Data gained a reputation as being the telecommunication industry leader in the Kentuckiana market.
Scott's philosophy of providing excellent customer service in conjunction with always doing the right thing is what continues to set Unified Technologies apart from its competition.
Robb Bashore - VP of Sales/General Manager
Robb's 20 years in the telecommunications industry started as a service technician and then into a sales role for a small family business in 1989. Prior to joining the Unified Team, Robb worked over 10 years in various capacities for Inter-Tel/Mitel, a Phoenix based telecom manufacturer. He held several positions with Inter-Tel/Mitel including direct sales, Regional Manager, Director of Channel Sales, and Vice President of Strategic Alliance Sales. Being on every side of a telecommunications transaction gives Robb the clearest view of the industry; from the technical side to the sales, from the manufacturer's side to the reseller's. Now as Vice President of Sales and General Manager of Unified Technologies, Robb has been able to utilize his well rounded experience in the industry and couple it with the strongest telecommunication team in the country creating record breaking success.
Paul Schulten - VP of Operations
Paul started his Telecommunications career with Cedco as a Field Technician in 1995 and worked his way to Lead NEC PBX installer within three years. He moved into management in 1998 when Cedco was purchased by Expanets serving as Field Service Manager, Installation Manager, and Operations Manager. Paul served as Vice-President of Operations with U.S. Voice & Data for the past 8 years. He was proficient in managing operations in multiple locations and VoIP implementations. Paul brings his management skills to Unified Technologies to complement the core mission of the company. His experience and expertise will insure the continued delivery of excellence in customer service as the company grows and expands. He understands how customers deserve to be treated and the importance of their office communications and its impact on their business. His strong background in the industry will fit perfectly with the Unified model.
Donnie Colvin - Director of Infrastructure
Donnie has been with this team running the infrastructure division for nearly a decade. Prior to joining this team, he spent several years handling inside telecommunications sales for Graybar Electric as well as a year of similar outside sales. Along with the structured cabling and fiber optics offerings, he has expanded the portfolio to include solutions such as door access controls, video surveillance, security, video conferencing, sound masking, paging and other complimentary solutions.
Helen Clasby - Customer Service Manager
Helen boasts a 30 year tenure of telecom project management and customer service. The majority of this experience has been spent with the members of the Unified team. She has had the pleasure of working with many repeat customers over the years with this team which is a testament to the quality of service after the sale. The industry has changed many times over during her tenure, and she continues to adapt to those changes by constantly refining the Project Management processes and procedures used by her team.
Operations
The Operations Team at Unified Technologies consists of 9 veteran technicians and certified engineers who put their 100 plus years of industry knowledge to use daily providing excellent service and unequalled installations. The groups certifications include Microsoft MCP, Microsoft MCSE, Microsoft MCSA,m , Cisco CCVP, Cisco CCDA, Cisco CCSP, Cisco CCNA ,Cisco CCNP, CompTIA Network+, CompIIA A+, CompTia Linux+, CTP.

Our Project management team consists, again, of industry veterans. The dedication to detail and commitment to customer service makes this team second to none. Unlike most project management teams across the industry, Unified Technologies' Project Managers boast certifications in Basic Installation, Certified Engineer and Advanced Trouble Shooting through ShoreTel and our other providers.
